Description
Esteban Soto is a 4 year old male who came to clinic with his dad with complaints of intermittent abdominal pain after eating and hard stools for the past 2 years. He has a bowel movement every 4 to 5 days, and his stools are hard and pebble like. Dad reports that Esteban has been leaking water stool in his underwear for the past 3 weeks. Dad describes that Esteban cant help it, and the stool just comes out. Dad also reports patient has a very poor diet, consisting primarily of junk food such as chicken nuggets, and pizza. The patient refuses to drink water and has 4-5 cups of milk per day. He has new stress in his life as his parents are divorcing. Upon exam, Esteban has stable vital signs and diffuse abdominal tenderness without guarding or rebound tenderness.
