Jenny Regliado – Attempt

Jenny Regliado is a 22-year-old female who presents to the outpatient clinic with complaints of vaginal itching and an abnormal vaginal discharge. She reports noticing these symptoms shortly after using a bath bomb that her husband had bought for her as a gift 5 days ago. She describes the itching as bothersome and persistent, and the discharge as white in color and slightly odorous. She denies any urinary symptoms such as burning or frequency. Her menstrual cycles have been regular, and she is not currently menstruating. Patient states she does not use protection with her husband and has an IUD in place. Patient has finished a course of OTC miconazole with no relief of symptoms.

Jenny Regliado – Attempt

J.R, a 22- year-old female, presents with vaginal itching and white thick odorless discharge for 5 days which is causing discomfort and embarrassment. Symptoms began after using a new bath bomb. She has tried a 3-day course of OTC miconazole without improvement. She denies pain with urination, hematuria, fever, chills or other systemic symptoms. No history of recent antibiotic use or known allergies. She recently used new bath bomb and think that might cause her symptoms. She is sexually active with her husband only and does not use condoms. Her Pap smear and STI testing were negative. Examination revealed erythema and mild excoriation of the labia majora and minora, mild erythema of vaginal walls and white thick discharge. Rest of exam unremarkable.
