KW is a 42-year-old, married, G2P202 who is seen with complaints of increase in fatigue over the last and irregular menstrual cycles. She also complains of vaginal discomfort with intercourse and vaginal dryness. She states her symptoms started approximately two years ago following the sudden death of her mom. Her menstrual cycle stopped for two months, then restarted irregularly. Approximately 9-12 months her menstrual cycle stopped. She is also having 3–4-night sweats each night that wake her from her sleep. Family members have noticed her mood swings as well, she is has become short tempered with them. PMH: No major medical problems. Vitals and PE are normal for stated age.

KW is a 42-year-old female, G2T2P0A0L2, presents with chief complaint of fatigue, night sweats x 3-4 times per night, sleep disturbance, and amenorrhea. Menstrual irregularity started 2 years ago coinciding with her mother’s death with amenorrhea for 9 to 12 months. She has a 5-pound weight gain and reports vaginal discomfort during coitus. She has mood swings she cannot explain. Denies any major health problems. Physical exam findings: skin color is pink and even, thyroid is firm, without nodules, and acceptable size for the patient’s gender and age. Pelvic exam shows normal external genitalia and bimanual is unremarkable. Vital signs were normal for stated age and gender.
