This client comes today with complaints of feeling really down since her and her boyfriend of 5 years separated. Client reports a history of being left alone often because her parents worked a lot and she was left to take care of her younger sibling. This may have had an impact on how she interacts with peers. Reports staying to herself during high school and only having one friend that she shares a limited amount of information with. Support system appears to be minimum and did not enjoy school as a child. Client does report enjoying reading.
